Todays Racing Tip – HEY BOB & DYLANS STORM
Time & Track – 6.30 SEDGEFIELD
Best Odds – 10/1 & 33/1
Analysis – A very competitve low grade h’cap hurdle but the only race all day that appealed to me. There are a few we have done before namely Bell Weir & Quill Art but I’m not doing any of them here for varrying reasons. Quill Art was disappointing last time and although very well treated I need to see better than last time before doing him again. Bell Weir promises to win more races and was an easy winner on the flat for us but has become expensive to follow over hurdles though he too is well treated on old form. When looking closely at the form I found it difficult to seperate 2 runners HEY BOB who was travelling very well when falling at the last on the back straight(usual 3 out), he’s yet to win a race but has threatened to do so and if his jumping holds up he really should be there at the business end. Four Mile Beach was 3rd in the race that Hey Bob fell in at Mitcd fell at the first in the back straight in that same race as did DYLAN STORM who was sent off at 25-1 outsider of the field but was still there when being brought down by HEY BOB at the 3rd last. He was yet to be asked for any effort from his jockey and was a bit unlucky that HB fell right into his path giving him nowhere to go. The reason I’m doing them both is I feel 33-1 about Dylans Storm is just too big a price, yes his form figures aren’t very encouraging but his last 4 runs prior to that were all in 3mile PTP a trip that is beyond him as a 7F winner on the flat off a mark of 62 albeit 2 years ago. If he can find his old form from the flat or his early hurdles form then 33-1 is massive and as a 5yo you can expect him to recover form. When you consider he’s only rated 3lb higher over jumps than he is on the flat.
Result: Hey Bob: Placed / Dylans Storm: Loss
