Drop back in trip will suit, he’s only 3lb higher than for last win and has gone close from this mark of 75 the last twice so should enter the reckoning. Has won on Kempton’s polytrack so the surface won’t be an issue.

Analysis – First run for Harry Fry who rarely has a runner on the level. Won over a half furlong shorter at Yarmouth when with Ed Vaughan on quick ground but has also gone close twice on soft. Jamie Spencer is in the saddle and the combination of first-time tongue-tie along with stable debut could be enough to see him gain a second career win.

Analysis – Was impressive over C&D on soft ground when winning on debut in September before stepping up markedly in grade where he was comfortably held in both a Class 1 & 2. Has been gelded since and returns back from a winter break in calmer waters on ground that will suit. Yard has a 30% strike-rate at this course so could surprise the market leaders at bigger odds.
