Todays Racing Tip – TICKS THE BOXES
Time & Track – 5.35 THIRSK
Best Odds – 10-1
Analysis – A class 5 0-70 where the top weight is only rated 67, it is the top weight that is the selection. His only turf win came on good/soft in a class 5 maiden since then he’s won off 86 & 67 in h’caps and a class 6 seller. He runs over 6 or 7 furlongs and has conditions to suit so should run his race with class/mark/ground/distance allin his favour.

Todays Racing Tip – DAGHASH (NAP)
Time & Track – 7.40 BATH
Best Odds – 25-1
Analysis – A class 5 0-70 over 2m1 on good/soft ground where the selection is a 4 times winner on turf from 29 runs but 0/5 on AW. Those 4 wins have come off marks of 76-71-73 over trips of 7F-1m4-1m6-2m on ground of g/f-g/f-g/f-gd. Whilst the groundmight not be a positive his only course form saw him run 1/2L 2nd off 78 at 9/2 today he runs off just 65 and his trainer is 3-11 in last 14 days and jockey is 5-35. Despite the ground worries the weather forecast is very bright and sunny afternoon and evening with 20degrees and 15mph winds so the good/soft could dry out if correct.

Todays Racing Tip – MOSCOW CALLING
Time & Track – 4.50 BANGOR
Best Odds – 20-1
Analysis – Long time followers will remember this one for being my nap back in January at 33-1 when stepping up 1mile in trip at Musselburgh, he tarvelled all over the field for all bar the last 1/2F where he was caught close home and finished 2nd. He hasnt run anything like it since but that run was off 74 on good ground,he was put up 4lb for that run but is now back down to the same mark of 74.That 2nd was in class 4 whereas here its class 5 so he could well run another big race here today.

Todays Racing Tip – RURAL CELEBRATION
Time & Track – 7.20 MUSSELBURGH
Best Odds – 11-1
Analysis – A 6 times career winner who looks like she’s still improving with 4 turf win and 2 aw wins off marks of 76-82-84-74-80.She ran her best race todate when 2nd in a Class 1 listed race at Ayr back in June, wasn’t quite so good when last of 9 again at Ayr last time out in a class 3 h’cap but her improving profile would give her a big chance here even off top weight.

Todays Racing Tip – FIRST SELECTION
Time & Track – 3.00 GOODWOOD
Best Odds – 28-1 6 PLACES SKYBET
Analysis – I had a short list of 4 for this race and as my main selection Belgian Bill is a NR as is El Vip I was left with a straight choice between Zhui Feng my Hunt Cup winner and First Selection. Zhui Feng is now on a career high mark of 106 and on a much softer surface than his HC win at Royal Ascot. The selection has won 4 times all in his first 5 races including a Group 3 race. His 4 wins came on AW, Good/firm and good so hasn’t won on a soft surface but has run on it in Group 3 company when rated 109 at haydock in September 2016. Now rated just 98 he has eye shields on again that he wore last time at Yprk when 5th of 14 in Class 2 handicap beaten only 1L.The negative for me is GLee as longterm followers will know I have no time for him as a jockey thats just a personal opinion.

Todays Racing Tip – OUTBACK TRAVELLER
Time & Track – 3.35 GOODWOOD (SATURDAY)
Best Odds – 20-1 5 places SKYBET 22-1 Coral only 4 places
Analysis – I’ve a feeling someone will pay 6 places later on today but for now Skybets 5 places and 20-1 is the best on offer. The winner of last years Wokingham h’cap at Royal Ascot off 100 where he beat subsequent Ayr Gold Cup winner Brando. He’s won 6 races in total 5 on turf plus a Class 4 h’cap off 75 on the AW over 6F. He won his maiden on G/F at Lingfield and went on to win 3 times over 7F off 84-89-93 before winning the Wokingham. That Ascot win was on good/soft showing he does act on a slower surface and with his 7F stamina he has the right credentials to add the Stewards Cup to his resume. He’s sporting first time visor here and has the best of the drawin stall 28 something he didn’t enjoy at Ascot where he was drawn on the opposite side to the winner and after encoutering trouble in his run he finished 5L 12th to Out Do and now off a 2lb lower mark.
