Analysis – This five-year old has only ever raced over this 5f trip having won five times all on good ground but has also gone close plenty of times on a firmer surface. She ran well in a listed race over track and trip the last day when finishing 5/16 and back in handicap company now off her highest winning mark she’s certainly rated to go close. Paul Midgely won this race last year so will be hoping to double up here and Ben Robinson (successful on her last October) claims a handy 3lb again. She might be hard to peg back if handed an uncontested lead.

Analysis – Won a Pontefract novice over 1m2f last season on good-to-soft and though there’s suspicion that he’s more suited to a slower terrain this colt ran well enough on Thursday behind an exciting prospect (who went off 1/5 fav) on good-to-firm and is eased in grade for this. Danny Tudhope, who was on board for his only success so far, is back in the saddle and will be hoping to add to his 1/2 record for William Muir. I think he’s slightly overpriced.
