Today’s Horse Racing Tips
Todays Racing Tip – FUEL INJECTION
Time & Track – 8.45 NEWCASTLE (FRI)
Best Odds – 10-1
Analysis – A class 6 0-60 5F h’cap where one we have done before Reflation is running but after 151 day break I couldn’t bring myself to do him even though he’s same owner/trainer/jockey as Captain Peaky. The one I do like however is having only his 2nd run for his new stable having been with Paul Midgley he oved to Ruth Carr on Feb 8th and after 292 days off ran on Feb 12th for his new connections when 5th of 8 to Ask The Guru at Wolverhampton. He’s a 3 times winner of 54-63-48 today runs off 50 and jockey James Sullivan has ridden him for 2 of his wins.
Result – Won
Todays Racing Tip – CAPTAIN PEAKY
Time & Track – 6.45 NEWCASTLE (FRI)
Best Odds – 28-1
Analysis – A class 6 0-60 over the straight mile, one I’ve done Captain Peaky is 0-15 so far in his career but has finished 3rd 5 times. He was only 10-1 and getting 6lbs when beaten 7L by Spare Parts at Kempton over 7F. He also ran in that farce of a race at Newcastle over 1m2 when Outlaw Torn was allowed a 100L lead and never came back to them. His last run again at Kempton over 1m he had a strange run round initially held up, allowed to run round the field to lead then drop back and eventually faded to 9th beaten 5L by Ertidaad. He has run over CD twice before both time he ran ok off much higher marks and higher class, he might cause an upset.
Result – Lost
Todays Racing Tip – COEUR PENSIF
Time & Track – 4.45 SANDOWN (FRI)
Best Odds – 13-2
Analysis – Ran too freely last time at Towcester, its very difficult to make all in heavy ground over 2m5+ at Towcester when you run like its a ssprint for the first half mile. He failed to get home that day but his novice form prior to that would give him a great chance here with a 2F shorter trip a slightly less stiff track and better ground. If he leads like last time he may not come back to them here.
Result – Lost
Todays Racing Tip – CABRAGH
Time & Track – 3.40 SANDOWN (FRI)
Best Odds – 33-1
Analysis – Although this isn’t a h’cap I thought this one had a decent EW chnace if he’s ridden with a bit more restraint. Last time behind the fav here Rathlin Rose he chased the pace of Renard and was the only one who got close to the leader for the first 2 and half miles but that ultimately cost him as he weakened from the pond fence. The first and second home both raced way off the pace and only closed up from the Pond fence. He’s got 23L to make up off the same weights so in theory shouldn’t reverse form but hopefully ridden further back he should run better as he did race very enthusiastically that day.
Result – Lost
