Analysis – Made an encouraging start to life over hurdles when second at Plumpton and all things considered that was a good run having pulled his way round for the majority of the race. He hurdled pretty nicely on that hurdling debut (a couple of novicey jumps which can be expected) and he’d also shown glimpses in a couple of his flat runs. Trainer Gary Moore doesn’t send many runners here but when he does they tend to go well (29% strike-rate past five seasons) and if his three-year old can settle a lot quicker this time then I believe he’s in with a chance of opening his account.

Analysis – This five-year old needs forgiving a no show the last day at Newbury but that came in a class 3 on good ground and he now drops down into a class 5 where he has won both times when competing at this level in handicap company. The soft ground will player to his strengths also with form figures reading 1-1-2 on soft and Richard Kingscote looks a good booking in the saddle. He’s ran some good races in defeat this season and has been given a good chance by the assessor off this mark having won from both 3lb and 7lb higher marks in the past, he won his only previous visit to this track over this trip and should play a leading role.
