Todays Racing Tip – DAME DU SOIR
Time & Track – 2.30 Leicester (13/02)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ Bet365

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Lightly-raced seven-year old who won over the minimum trip over hurdles at this course in January last year. She was pulled-up at odds of 100/1 in the Mares’ Novice Hurdle at the festival last year but since a summer break she has returned to form well having gone chasing. She was second on debut behind a nice horse in Midnight Tune before beating a subsequent winner at Hereford at the beginning of the year. She almost capitalised on her opening mark of 123 on handicap debut the last day when beaten just under a length in third and from just a pound higher here she holds solid claims now stepping up to this trip for the first time against weaker opposition. Also think Got Away is worth a second look having won this race last year off this same mark on the back of being well-beaten.

Result – Non Runner

Todays Racing Tip – CLONDAW WESTIE
Time & Track – 3.00 Leicester (13/02)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ Sky Bet

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Unseated his rider the last day at Sandown when beaten but a 3lb drop in the ratings coupled with the ease in grade could see this nine-year old in a better light. He’s only a pound above his highest winning mark, which came over this extended 2m6f at Stratford back in March (good-to-soft) and if able to reproduce that running then he shouldn’t be the price he is in my opinion. Aidan Coleman is back on board (four-time winner on the gelding) and the ground won’t be a concern having won previously on both soft and heavy, one of which came on this card two years ago in a novices’ handicap chase.

Result – Lost
