Today’s Horse Racing Tips
Todays Racing Tip – DANCING ON MY OWN
Time & Track – 12.05 Cheltenham (16/11)
Best Odds – 5/1 @ Unibet
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – This Irish-raider has two nice pieces of form last season behind subsequent Supreme winner Klassical Dream including in a Grade 1 when fourth over 2m. He’s a son of Milan so it was no surprise to see him relish the heavy ground the last day when an unchallenged winner at Wexford and hopefully the step back up to 2m5f will suit now. Aidan Coleman is booked for the ride which is eye-catching, with him only ever riding for this trainer once before which resulted in victory. Thyme Hill won the Persian War and probably deserves favouritism but at the prices I like this lad’s chances.

Todays Racing Tip – HAPPY DIVA
Time & Track – 2.25 Cheltenham (16/11)
Best Odds – 12/1 @ Paddy Power
Stake – 0.5pt ew (6 places)
Analysis – She’s a very consistent mare who, when completing her races, has yet to finish outside the places. She’s a four-times winner of the larger obstacles, which has included a listed success at Huntingdon over this trip back in January with the second horse Magic Of Light going on to finish second in the Grand National. She’s only a pound higher now is only 3lb higher than for last year when being brought down four out in this race whilst still travelling and jumping well. She reappeared with a good second at Wetherby behind Guitar Pete (now better off at the weights) when running out of steam after the second last and should be at peak fitness now. Richard Patrick claims his 3lb again, she’s won on heavy ground and with a clear round I think she’s definitely got each-way claims as her course form reads well despite no win here (2-2-BD-8) – was a good second behind Ryanair second Aso on New Years Day.
Result – Won +8.75
Todays Racing Tip – THE BUTCHER SAID
Time & Track – 3.00 Cheltenham (16/11)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Since the switch to Olly Murphy’s yard, this six-year old has yet to finish worse than second for his Warwickshire-based handler in six starts and that has included a four-timer achieved in between May & June this year. They all came on good ground but his return to action over C&D last month was on heavy ground when second behind the odds-on favourite Ramses De Teillee, who was receiving 8lb from the selection despite being rated 10lb better, so for this horse to finish only four-and-a-half lengths off the winner was a sound reappearance run. He’s got a nice low weight for his handicap debut and if coming on for that recent run, which is more than likely, then I think he’s got a great chance.

Todays Racing Tip – ELLEON
Time & Track – 3.35 Uttoxeter (16/11)
Best Odds – 10/1 @ William Hill
Stake – 0.5pt ew
Analysis – Was only beaten just over three-lengths on racecourse debut at Warwick back in May despite finishing eighth and visually it looked as though he got done for pace turning for home. That came on good ground and in the hope this much slower surface will suit I think this gelding is slightly overpriced for a trainer who has a 44% strike-rate in bumpers at this course and in fact won this race twice in the past four years. Harry Teal claims a handy 5lb and I think he’s got each-way claims.
