Analysis – This ten-year old is sitting on a mark which is 13lb below his highest winning perch and all bar one of his six victories have come from a higher mark. The one that didn’t was back in November at Ludlow from only a pound lower and on that evidence he’s handicapped to go close if on a going day. They’ve replaced the blinker for cheekpieces which is a positive as his best runs have come when sporting this headgear (three wins against stronger opponents) and his form at this course is good where he’s won over 2m2f (on soft ground) as well as a close third over this trip. He’ll need to come on for his reappearance run after a short break but has done so before and if he does then I think he’ll outrun his large odds, though the favourite Annie Bonny may well take some beating carrying a penalty but I’m willing to take the punt.

Analysis – Has been in good form in three hurdle runs this season before being pulled-up over fences the last day. That can be ignored as he’s not taken to fences twice now and the return to hurdling could see him return to form as he was progressing nicely. He won a class 4 two starts ago and he’s only 5lb higher for this, he’s back down in grade and has the assistance of the talented Rex Dingle in the saddle which could prove effective in this conditionals race. He ticks a lot of boxes in regards trip/class/ground and it looks a pretty weak affair, so should go well.
