Tipsters Review - July 19, 2018

Today’s Horse Racing Tips

Todays Racing Tip – STRAIGHTOTHEPOINT
Time & Track – 3.00 Hamilton (19/07)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ Bet365

Stake – 1pt win

Analysis – Despite a two-year period without tasting success, this six-year old has slipped down the ratings to a mark now 12lb below that victory so is looking dangerously handicapped. He went well at Carlisle last time out when third and the second paced horse has won since whilst the winner may well have doubled up if he hadn’t met considerable trouble in running. He’s been eased a pound for that effort and now has the assistance of Graham Lee (has ridden six of last eight runs) back doing the steering. All wins have come over this six-furlongs (one over C&D) and his form here reads 5-2-1-2-2.

Todays Racing Tip – DELFT DANCER
Time & Track – 4.20 Leicester (19/07)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ Betfair

Stake – 3pt win

Analysis – Won a novice over five-furlongs at Nottingham on second start and her two most recent efforts were supposedly better efforts on RPR when second both times with the most recent coming over six-furlongs. The form of that race has worked out with the winner scoring again and a couple of others in behind going close since and this filly can go one better now stepping up a further furlong in trip. Silvestre De Sousa takes the ride on her for the first time but himself and trainer Mark Johnston have teamed up to win two of the last three runnings of this Nursery so a big run can be expected of her, should go close to defying top-weight.

Todays Racing Tip – DELIRIUM
Time & Track – 4.40 Chepstow (19/07)
Best Odds – 11/4 @ Bet365

Stake – 2pt win

Analysis – Both wins have come over 1m2f on this quicker ground with the latest coming at this course from a 2lb lower mark than what she’s running off here. She’s stepped back up to 1m4f and can be forgiven for her only previous crack at this trip with that coming on the poly track at Kemton (has failed to figure in all four attempts on synthetics) so is worth another go at this trip now back on a preferable surface. She was staying on strongly the last day at Bath when third off this mark and at the age of four is still open to plenty o improvement especially at this trip and her trainer boasts a 25% strike-rate at this track.

Result – Lost

July Monthly Total: -20.1pts
