Analysis – Has ran three good and three bad races so far this season but has slipped to a mark in which he should be capable of winning off having scored from 5lb and 11lb higher ratings in the past. He rattled up a hat-trick in the space of ten days last August and two of those wins came over C&D on good-to-soft terrain, which is the same conditions he’ll be faced with here which is a positive for this five-year old. The form of his most recent third, beaten just under two-lengths at Thirsk, took a boost when the winner went in again on Friday and from the same mark he looks dangerous. He’s entered in a slightly better race than this on Monday so the fact they’re taking up this assignment could be an indication that connections fancy their chances in this.
