Analysis – We did him 2 races go over this Cd where he led for the first 3m+ of the race only to weaken in the home straight and finish 6th. He didnt run very well last time at Carlisle over 3m2 but a return to this Cd is a major bonus as he does run this track particularly well. He does have a very much hit or miss profile with noe fewer than 7 pulled up and 1 fall in last 16 races but mixed in with 2 good wins. He’s now 4lb & 8lb below the mark of his last 2 wins and maybe he’ll be better giving weight to lesser rivals.

Analysis – This one if famous for being my 40-1 nap when first time chasing here over 2m5, that day he led over the last until 1/2way up the run in only to fade into 4th place it later transpired the race was extended by 178yds due to rail alignment. Talk about frustrating, well since then he’s had 2 runs over 2m with nothing special on either occassion but a return to MR and a step back up to 2m3 looks absolutely ideal based on that previous run here. For me he’s as good a bet as you can get now 4lb below that run here and as a 2m4 PTP winner he’s a very very confident selection.
