This six-year-old is a previous Grade 2 winner back in February 2020, when winning the Dovecote at Kempton by just under five-lengths where he had this year’s Greatwood hurdle winner West Cork back in second and despite not winning since he has dropped to a very tempting mark of 127. On his penultimate outing he was a fair fifth in a listed handicap at Ascot in a race won by the now 149-rated Soaring Glory and the last day he kept on after the last to finish a held fifth at that same track (both over just shy of 2m) and now takes a step up in trip to 2m3f which could eke out some improvement. His trainer Chris Gordon won this race last year and if his gelding can show anywhere near his best form then he could be a big price now dropped into 0-130 company off this mark.
