He’s only won once over hurdles, which came off a 4lb lower mark almost two years ago, but he’s twice won over the larger obstacles, the most recent coming on his third last start off a mark of 102, winning over this trip at Fakenham by no less than 21-lengths. He has since posted a pair of third-placed efforts back over timber, off of that same mark and the assessor has now eased him 2lb to a mark of 100. Isabel Williams can claim 5lb, as she did the last day when just under six-lengths behind a horse called Howdyalikemenow, who was deemed good enough to run in the Grade 2 Leamington Novice Hurdle over the weekend, so that looks fair form. He’ll enjoy the underfoot conditions too with the majority of his best runs coming on soft/heavy ground and with his jockey’s allowance coming into account he looks nicely weighted and should be right there at the finish, in my opinion, if on a going day.
