Todays Racing Tip – BLUE BULLET
Time & Track – 2.30 WARWICK (THURSDAY)
Best Odds – 12-1

Analysis – Class 4 0-105 2m5 h’cap hurdle on heavy ground on a stif track will take some getting. The one I like is having only his 8th career run and first time over a trip beyond 2m1. Both his runs this season have been in competitve races, after his 8L 6th at 100-1 at Chepstow he looked certain to win soon but in first time h’cap last time at Warwick over 2m he looked to take a step backwards although that was a 0-115 h’cap so this lesser company over longer trip look certain to improve him.

Todays Racing Tip – PRIMO BLUE
Time & Track – 1.35 TAUNTON (THURSDAY)
Best Odds – 25-1

Analysis – Yet to win a race from 9 runs over fences, hurdles and NH flat races though he has a 2nd in a flat race on heavy ground. All of his last 6 runs have been over hurdles and fences (where he fell behind Might Bite) and all over longer trips than todays 2m. Its interesting to me he’s dropping back in trip after running well at Leicester over 2m4 last time out only weakening between last 2 but having W.Hutchinson riding him for the first time with the hood retained. He looks to have a very big ew chance in a big field h’cap on good/soft ground.

Todays Racing Tip – VODKA RED & CLONDAW BANKER
Time & Track – 12.10 NEWCASTLE (THURSDAY)
Best Odds – 14-1 & 40-1

Analysis – I struggled to decide between these 2 so thought I’d let the prices dictate what I did but both are much bigger than I expected so I see no harm in doing both. Vodka Red is a CD winner off a mark of 83 today runs off 84 less jocks 3lb claim. Last time out didn’t get home over 3m here but time before over this trip at Carlisle ran a blinder beaten only 4L on heavy ground off a 1lb higher mark. A repeat of that run would be good enough to be involved in the finish here. Clondaw Banker at 40-1 was just too big to skip over, he’s a distance winner in Nov 2015 at Sandown in a class 3 h’cp off a mark of 120. Trained by Henderson back then clearly not the same horse now running off just 90 in this class 5 0-100 h’cap. His run at Musselburgh 2 runs back was very encouraging travelling well until colliding with the rail on the home turn seemed to upset him. That was over 3m he then dropped back to 2m at Sedgefield where he pulled up tailed off which wasn’t surprising dropping a mile in trip. Now back up to an intermediate trip he could well run a better race with first time blinkers and Connor O’Farrell riding him for the first time and he’s 2-9 in last 14 days.

Todays Racing Tip – UNDER THE RED SKY
Time & Track – 1.45 NEWCASTLE (THURSDAY)
Best Odds – 12-1

Analysis – A bit of a character who travels well but finds very little of the bridle, twice he’s thrown winning opportunities away by idling once to our benefit over this CD. He’s not one you’d take a short price about but at a decent ew price he’s worth chancing as he will drop in one day. He has first time blinkers replacing the usual cheek pieces and Tommy Dawson claiming 3 keeps the ride.

Todays Racing Tip – AGE OF GLORY
Time & Track – 2.20 NEWCASTLE (THURSDAY)
Best Odds – 16-1

Analysis – Ran a big race for us at Carlisle last winter when 3rd at 50-1. That day he was off 107 in a class 4 0-120 today off 102 in a class 5 0-100 on seasonal debut where in past seasons after a break of 6 months his form reads 5-1-7 yet the 2 defeats weren’t beaten far in better company of much higher marks. Ground/trip/mark all are right for him as is the dropping in grade he should run well at decent odds in a weak looking race.
