He followed that with a good 5th behind Unowhatimeanarry in the Grade 2 Cleeve Hurdle beaten just 15L. He needed his first run after 10months off so should strip fitter now and the extra half mile will help. The booking of champ jock R.Johnson also adds to the thought 33-1 is massive.

Analysis – Winner of 2 races both novices races a hurdle and a chase. The Novice chase win came over this distance and at this course but obviously on the chase course not the hurdles. He was rated 135 when winning his novice hurdle arce and has slumped to 123 haaving run over all sorts of trips from 2m to 3m. Interesting they revert to hurdles at a trip he’s won over in a hot little contest off bottom weight with first time cheek pieces with a 3lb claimer on board.

Analysis – A class 4 0-115 2m3 h’cap hurdle for novices where the one I like sits at the foot of the weights running of just 93 less James Corbetts 5lb claim riding for his mum. She’s yet to run in a h’cap but has managed a 2nd and 3 3rds from just 7 runs amd last time out at Musselburgh behind for festival winner Silver Concorde she ran well for 3rd staying on well at the end and now runs off a mark of just 93. Silver Concorde rated 133 beat her 37L,there’s nothing of that calibre in this race she could run well at big odds.

Analysis – Didn’t make the final cut for the AW 20 to follow as my conditions were too specific so I cut him out at the last stage. I’m doing him here today as he has those ideal conditions I wanted ie Chelmsford 10F class 6/7 so even though beaten out of sight on his last 2 runs there is every chnace he’ll bounce back to form here. The obvious negative is his stall 15 of 16 draw which will make it tough to get to the front as is his want but in this grade off this mark he could well exploit the opportunity being 8lb below his last winning mark. Its a hands n heels apprentice race class 7 0-50 but if Aled Beech can get him to the front he could quite easily keep him rolling and be very hard to pass. Disappointed with 7-1 hoped for 10-1 but had 8-1 as bottom line only 1pt out and he may drift so take a chance.
