Analysis – Solid Stone got the better of John Gosden’s three-year old over 7f last November at Newcastle but has improved for the step up to 1m2f so far this year. He won a maiden at that same track in late February comfortably and after a second at Redcar he asserted clear off a 8lb lower mark to win at Doncaster the last day. Frankie Dettori takes over in the saddle which is a positive and with the potential of more to come in handicaps over this trip he’s taken to go close in this tricky rac
